I rebel most effectively against my creative self. I make things in secret, and not consistently.

Yet my best moments are in creative flow. My default state is joy.

So in my 67th year, I aim to change. Here on Substack, I’ll write about joy, disappointment, rage, memory, being Black American, being an immigrant, being single, being an atheist, my inspirations, my history, and so forth.

This means song lyrics, essays, fiction, podcasts, ringtones, digital art, and more.
